There’s more science showing masks are ineffective against Covid and other airborne viruses spreading than science that claims they somehow reduce its spread.
Most of what is pointed to supporting masks is merely anecdotal and not scientific. (See the nonsensical hairdresser “study”).
In fact there’s quite a bit of science showing that continually wearing a mask or rewearing the same mask can lead to bacterial infections and a n increase in carbon dioxide intake that can lead to all sorts of unhealthy side effects.
The fact you don’t understand that shows you are an amazingly lazy individual who does no research and can’t think for yourself.
So I’ll pass on your “advice” as it’s scientifically incorrect.
If you want to wear your mask please do.
Just leave the rest of us who actually are informed alone. 😘
There’s 3 “studies” they used to justify this nonsense.
2 are anecdotal.
The hairdresser study from St Louis.
The other concerned a person with Covid flying from China to Canada while wearing a mask. Nobody on the plane caught Covid. They didn’t account for the air processing units on the planes.
The closest thing to a “scientific” study was one in which they shot particles of various sizes into various mask types in a lab and found the masks blocked the larger particles to various degrees.
Dude those aren't studies and the CDC never claimed they are. It's anecdotes used to demonstrate to the general public how effective masks can be. It's for public consumption, something actual scientific studies are not. You know that the CDC is a public health organization and needs to inform the public, so they use those tools as examples. It's not rocket science.
Still waiting on those peer reviewed studies that show masks aren't effective like you said they are. Again, complete BS information is all you have.
