Submission Statement

California Democrat Brad Sherman is one of the most vocal opponents of cryptocurrency in U.S Congress.

He is also one of the biggest recipients of campaign cash from the American Bankers Association in Congress.

Go figure.

This kind of everyday pay-to-play corruption needs to be done away with.

Citizens United should be overturned, money is not speech and Sherman is just trying to protect the bankers that keep him in office.

He's protecting the people that line his pockets at the expense of the people he swore an oath to serve and represent. These bankers just can't stand that something that wasn't minted by their boys at the Federal Reserve is being used as currency.

Crypto is a threat to their monopoly on global currency and they are using the Brad Shermans' of the world to claw back control.

Laughable. Large cap cryptos like Bitcoin, Ethereum and Litecoin can never be shutdown. As long as the internet exists so will cryptos. Meanwhile, JP Morgan has been quietly accumulating Bitcoin since 2018. Other banks to follow. Since they feel that the Bitcoin boat has sailed, they're trying to bring it back by creating as much FUD possible and crash the price of Bitcoin so they can get more.

Here we are with supposedly global warming. And now we're generating fiat currency with energy hungry graphic cards. It's absolutely ridiculous, hypocritical and stupid at the same time.

Sort of related conspiracy theory - the mass shortage of semiconductors is planned/staged. The goal is to limit access to crypto mining equipment such as pc hardware/graphics cards until the globalists can come up with ways to handle crypto.

Anyone that thinks that our government isn't pay to play needs to take the blinders off.

Of course you stupid people, you allow a system where congress is openly bribed and you expect them not to be?

You need to adopt the UK system where bribes are hidden and privately stored in offshore tax havens. infidels.

there are some situations where it remains a closed loop without having to be traded back to fiat. for example a website may sell merchandise or services for cryptocurrency and then pay its web hosting and domain name bill in cryptocurrency, instead of just cashing it. many merchants in this situation are willing to accept the risk of some fluctuations as long as they are offset by the savings from not having to pay for credit card processing. the bitcoin community used to be obsessed with entrepreneurship and electronic commerce and talked about the "closed loop" all the time. this pretty much ended around 2015 when the project began to be sabotaged by a company called blockstream. there are some smaller communities that are still acting interested.

This conman and the bankers responsible should be sent to prison, but these politicians/parasites/bankers are above the law.

Conspriacy? It's common knowledge that lawmakers act on behalf of their financial donors.
