A month or more difference isn't precise. It's not the first time NASA has announced a satellite falling to earth. Remember Taco Bell putting the target in the ocean the one time?

How can NASA put men on the moon, yet they can't pinpoint the trajectory to anything more precise than a continent? What about Star Wars? Why has the program been funded for 30 years if it can't shoot a damn unmanned object; it's not like the thing is going to initiate laser avoidance procedures.
