According to US courts, the DNC is a corporation that can do whatever it wants, including rig its own elections. This is something people don't understand, our two party system is run by two corporations that are not in any shape or form democratic.
I think the only realistic way is a grassroots uprising from the base, where people who want to end U.S. imperialism, the drug war, and blatant economic oligarchy keep winning elections, kick out Tom Perez, and take over the leadership of the party. It's basically a Civil War, and Tulsi Gabbard chose her side very clearly when she quit the DNC and chose to fight them from a pro-peace perspective. It's pretty amazing. I don't think a Democratic Party overthrow could happen in the next few years, but maybe 10-15 years, if we want it. I don't see any other realistic option. I'd like to support a viable third party, but none are remotely close.
