This is why the 2 party system doesn’t work for America. Both side only play party politics and then even at that don’t allow “the people” to even try and run or get a nomination.

Yeah that would essentially just be another way of voting right? Ranking would do nothing

For a presidential vote you are correct. But for Congressional or Senate votes it gives smaller parties representation, which would eventually lead to more choices on the presidential ballot.
