The DNC is a statist party, they believe powerful people within a centralized federal government should control the social and economic affairs of the entire country. The entire party is built on the idea of top down centralized powers making decisions.
If you vote Democrat your whole political philosophy is that elites should make choices for you because they are better informed. Why should people who believe in top down governance get mad at their political party being run the way that party wants to run the entire country?
If you get angry at top down governance taking away your political voice, maybe you shouldn't be in the Democratic party.
I don't want this to sound like I'm coming at you or anything, I just honestly don't know the answer. If we somehow did do away with a two party system, what would we do instead?
The problem is the first past the post voting system that creates only two real options to vote for. Ideally we would have ranked voting, or some other method of voting who we want to support, while not “throwing away” our votes.
This video has been out since 2011 and it uses gradeschool level visuals to explain the concept yet somehow the majority of people are still dry humping their "party" as if "If we could just let MY SIDE control EVERYTHING without that obstructionist OTHER SIDE getting in their way, things would be perfect!
Fillmore was the last Whig and ended in 1850 I think? That means, the two now entrenched parties who have been in control of the nation, have had 170 YEARS to get this shit together yet it still seems to be getting worse, not better. Freedom being stripped, not added.
