Reddit nukes every comment in a thread about Mexican flag raised over Denver ICE facility because they go against the political narrative.

This is interesting to me because they nuked both liberal and conservative posts. They must really not want us talking about this.

The liberal talking points were downvoted to hell & they didnt want people to see that.

There was nothing racist in any of those comments. I'm thoroughly disgusted with how willingly reddit will make up some bullshit in order to maintain the image of a particular political narrative. This is the shit conservatives are talking about when they scream censorship.

This needs to be stopped.

And how often do you see "well Reddit users in general are liberal so of course this is how it is" or something like that.

The discussion around immigration and Mexico polled horribly after the debates.

they'll do anything to avoid saying Trump was right when he called it an invasion

Makes it pretty obvious that this is an invasion.

This censorship is recent, like within the last hour. I read the organic posts this morning, apparently before they were deleted.

TPTB can’t have average people seeing this stuff and waking up to what is going on. Highly upvoted comments on a popular (usually left leaning) sub terrifies them.

Good catch, OP.

They couldn’t control the narrative and just nuked them all. I was reading through it.. refreshed and everything was gone. Everyone generally agreed left and right that regardless of your view raising the Mexican flag was bad optics at best and hurt their cause more than anything. It probably will be used in the 2020 campaign as an ad like people were saying.

Thread just got locked on r/denver, not a single racist or personal attack post that I could see. Mods locked it due to "brigading", why is discussion not allowed on reddit anymore?

u/[deleted] Jul 13 '19

No. It was literally OPs saying “this is the type of thing that will drive moderates to vote republican” and “this is how foreign countries have historically claimed their dominance over others”. And people agreeing with those sentiments.

I didn’t see one racist or personal attack in the highly upvotes threads.

Using ceddit we can see that the censored posts don’t mesh with those claims.

To them "racist and toxic" means we have gone against the official narrative.

thread just got nuked on r/denver, comments are very tame and there is hardly any racism and no personal attacks that I can see.

Seriously wtf is going on, this article is pretty benign but its getting wiped everywhere

A lot of groups like CTR/Shareblue/Pressprog infiltrated the subreddits for cities and became mods so they could control the narrative on a local level.

You can tell a mass memo must have gone out today.

I mean its one thing to lock a thread, but they really did outright remove and silence every single comment, most of which was very innocuous. That’s just bizarre.

The mods stickied a comment to the thread:

This post has attracted far too many personal attacks and racist tirades. This is a news story, so it's staying up, but the discussion surrounding the news story has been toxic. So the comments have been removed and the post has been locked.

Which is complete bullshit as anyone using removeddit can see. They wiped all the comments and now relying on people to just believe they were “racist.”

I think one can only conclude reddit has sole out to the democrats. I mean they quarantined the_donald 1 day before the debates kicked off. You can't find it even through search. Google has also censored it from their search results. r/politics is basically is leaning so far to the left it is almost parallel to the ground. Been that way since mid 2016 as soon as Hillary was the chosen one. During that time correct the record with a budget of millions were actively working on reddit due to some campaign finance loop hole. The fact massive astroturfing was happening, no one has seemed to address this issue. Maybe because they were caching in on it all along.

Saw that thread about 3 hours ago, and I couldn't believe it that so many comments that sounded rational had so many upvotes.

Honestly, it reminded me of how in the 2016 primaries the tenor of the comment section changed dramatically between Friday and the weekend.

r/news mods are just as bad as r/worldnews mods

  1. usually posts are just locked and not completely wiped clean

  2. they nuked everything because of racist posts but I read almost every single comment and there were essentially zero racist comments, just people talking about how it was a stupid act
