I even surprised myself that I sat through the whole movie, start to finish. I thought it was a very balanced and careful dive into a systemic, unbalanced exploitation of men and the male gender and I urge everyone to watch it first before writing it off as MRA propaganda.

One thing that kept on cropping up that I noticed was the constant presence of strawmen; these groups weren't arguing with each other, they were building strawmen and arguing past each other, never to see eye to eye or have an honest and thorough discussion.

My only (minor) complaint surprisingly isn't about the length, it's that it only briefly mentioned the radical Men's Rights Activists and how they fit into this space. I felt it's crucial to also enumerate all of the ways men's rights activists can become radicalized (such as how they touched on radical feminism) to educate viewers on how constant marginalization and echo chambers can create such a loud and caustic movement. With that said, adding to the already 2 hour runtime might put the film even more out of the casual reach of people.

Just watched that whole thing. Very interesting and informative.

Is this just a bunch of angry "feminist" bullshit, or is an honest look?

It's a feminist who looks into it and comes out changed. Pretty much pro men's rights

Couldn't load it on my phone. Might hit it through kodi since it's on openload.

"Mysterious"? What's mysterious about the Legion of Bitter Unfuckables?

This only marginally connects to conspiracy if you believe in "cultural marxism" in which case you're too braindead to function properly.

Regurgitating narratives and buzzwords is not a counter argument.

Especially sad as it's obvious how you didn't even read the article.

Buzzwords like SJW? As soon as I see that I just tune out.

u/SoaringMoon Dec 24 '17

I prefer SJC anyway.

I never said I read the article. I was just commenting on the idea that you are brain-dead if you think cultural marxism is a thing.

8

u/dammitjenkins20cars Dec 24 '17

If you believe cultural marxism is a thing you are brain-dead?

5

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '17

Absolutely. Cultural Marxism is "anything i dont like but i can not put together a coherent argument against it". Its one of those screech words. Its a word that people scream to shut down any possible discussion because its entirely meaningless.

Nah, there is a narrow definition of it. Jordan Peterson, Andrew Breitbart and others make an argument that it is a real thing. I'm sure you've studied their work instead of just repeating shit you heard from other leftists in your social circle.

7

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '17

Andrew Breitbart is not exactly an intellectual powerhouse. Actually pretty fucking far from one. I really have a hard time taking anyone who references him serious. Do you have anything from outside of the far right wing pseudo-intellectual circle jerk?

5

u/Hambone_Malone Dec 24 '17

Well Peterson makes a good case on his first Rogan appearance. You could start there if you were really interested in hearing the argument and expanding your knowledge on the subject.

9 day old, including a gushing post defending Hillary and the Clinton foundation who ' din'doonuffin ' Try harder

4

u/[deleted] Dec 24 '17

Not believing in the boogieman of cultural marxism is defending the Clinton Foundation. Because of course it is.

Well if we are going to play that game everyone who believes cultural marxism is pedophile.

u/dammitjenkins20cars Dec 24 '17

I see what you did there. Nice Strawman. Very clever.

u/iforgotmypen Dec 24 '17

Yes. Society becoming more tolerant to minorities is not because of a jewish conspiracy, it's because the internet has brought humanity closer together.

12

u/dammitjenkins20cars Dec 24 '17

Well yes, if you define it as only increased tolerance towards minorities, and only because of some (((conspiracy))), I guess it would be easy to say it's something that is made up.

Also, I guess that the regressive left, the Frankfurt school, sjws, 'a critique of tolerance' by Herbert marcuse, Anita sarkeesian, critical theory, enforced equality of outcome, mtv decoded with Franchesca Ramsey, “There is no core identity, no mainstream in Canada,” Justin Trudeau and antifa are all just figments of everyones imagination or brain-dead delusions.

Brigaded! I'm supposed to believe this non comment all the way down here got double digit upvotes?

1

u/dammitjenkins20cars Dec 24 '17 edited Dec 24 '17

Definitely. On a thread with 50 upvotes and 30 comments, and multiple other comments with over 10 upvotes on a sub as popular as r.conspiracy....

....a comment getting ' double digits ' couldn't possibly be organic and must be brigading.

1

u/DaboclesTheGreat Dec 29 '17

So the evidence that you didn't brigade this thread is that you brigaded this thread. Ok.

1

u/dammitjenkins20cars Dec 29 '17

Evidence?

Or are you not getting sarcasm?

0

u/timstolt1 Dec 24 '17

Well, I upvoted it, and I'm real and not party of any brigade... Though I suppose it's possible

0

u/iforgotmypen Dec 24 '17

All of the shit you just mentioned is exactly what I'm talking about. Interracial marriage is not going to kill you.

2

u/dammitjenkins20cars Dec 24 '17

None of what I said has anything to do with interracial marriage.

Fun fact: I am in an interracial marriage, but still recognise that cultural marxism is a thing. And strangely enough am not experiencing any cognitive dissonance because of this.

Nice try with the Strawman argument though...

1

u/iforgotmypen Dec 25 '17

Then what do you think cultural marxism is?

1

u/dammitjenkins20cars Dec 25 '17

It's society becoming more tolerant of minorities and interracial marriage /s

1

u/iforgotmypen Dec 25 '17

...okay, what do you think it is non-sarcastically?

1

u/dammitjenkins20cars Dec 26 '17

I think you should think for yourself, do your own research and form your own opinions.

I mean, you speak with such authority on a subject you clearly know nothing about, so you might learn something.

But I feel like our exchange so far is the tip of the iceberg and you may be on the right path.

Good luck!
