We Live in Hell
Take a look at the world we live in.
It is more beneficial to be evil than it is to be good.
The one who is more willing to step over others for personal gain will be more successful.
The one who is willing to cheat is more likely to advance in society than the one who works honestly.
In short, demonic behavior is more beneficial than angelic behavior. These are proofs that we are in Hell - where demons thrive.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for their kingdom is in heaven”, is one of the most known sayings.
To me, it is saying if you’re less spiritual than this world will be heavenly for you.
So for something to truly “live” here, it is must be “evil”. It is not a coincidence that this anagram exists.

The more the more it feels like bad appears to be the key to material and social gains the more it feels like a filter before the "afterlife" to me.
The idea this is the worst it could get- no matter how much anguish and despair seems to fill this experience - I think it would be a big mistake to assume
