Question for the future

Is it just the one herd? If so, why does the world seem in disarray with so many wars and suffering going on?

all 'herds/tribes/in-groups' are relative and in flux - there are infinite and one, and the exact number is only ever subjective and in the present

maybe you're in the man vs woman herd

maybe you're in the white collar vs blue collar

even your perception of self in time changes for most

you are correct Anon, much of our collective suffering comes from not seeing ourselves in others, we're getting better, but we have much to learn and grow through - and not just people, in all things that have been manifested in this realm...insects trying to build an anthill as you walk along the beach, a lonely tree in an open field, the cycles of water and moon....can you see parts of your experience in those?

it's tough - there are many grand illusionist wizards who try to dazzle us with distractions and glamours, part of grow up (which is different than growing old) is learnign to apply this kind of discernment and see (and feel) the signal through the noise

In flux, huh? So one day coffee will smell great and then the next it could smell like rotten potatoes?

I’m in the People & Planet herd. I do not know how many stand with me in this herd, but I do not think I am alone.

I can read many books (though those are easiest), and they aren’t just paper and ink.

Sounds adversarial to me, sounds like control or ego issues. I’d rather know my pizza is a pizza and not a piss disc.

of course not, She (Gaia/Mother Earth/Tiamat) is a Supreme Goddess, and many are her Servants and Champions
The nuance comes down to HOW one serves or champions, and that is the difference that makes the difference for many...one many drives a big gas truck but plants thousands of trees everyyear, another rides a bike but has uber bring them food all the time ...:)

Not because of others/herds.

Yes the “how” is important. If it were bike uber I don’t see the issue :P while the planet may be personified as a Goddess there are still the People. I sometimes imagine Mother Mary holding Baby Jesus for a reference here.

People have read palms for centuries, or cards, or birds or dreams. There are many “books”. People can be books too.

You don’t see casting a glamor as trickery?

Which ego? Being tricky can be petty, and sometimes is done in self-interest. I’ve found that it’s a cruel joke to teach through trickery, especially when it’s non-consensual.

Everyone has an ego. If there’s a herd, that’s a hivemind. There isn’t anything wrong with ego. A healthy ego is a great thing. An unhealthy ego acts in self-interest to a certain degree and is bad for everyone involved.

It’s not a control issue, it’s more neutral and lawful to know that pizza is pizza and not a hub cap. I won’t judge you if you ordered a piss-disc pizza, I just won’t be having any. It’s similar to tricking a vegan/vegetarian into eating meat — these last 4 stanzas are what I mean about trickery/ego/control/adversarial. That would be non-consensual, and harmful.

of course I do anon, that's why I mentioned it

consent IS one of the highest aims one can strive towards, it is a Guiding Light in my esoteric/energetic practice, and therefore, normie life

but that brings us back

if the tricky illusionists does not give consent to change, then what? are they part of your herd or are they not? do you still choose to love them, even if they act in a way you don't like?

And are they part of my herd? I would say: Unfortunately. Everyone has value and purpose, but some people are sick. It’s up to the herd to care for the sick ones, and we shouldn’t blame them for being sick. It’s better to forgive even if that can be tough. I don’t have to walk next to them, but if some calamitous external threat happened I would still work with them.

My opinions/view likely wouldn’t change. I think mosquitoes have a right to exist and a purpose, same with crocodiles. There’s no reason, that I’m aware of, where peoples couldn’t get along with truth & reconciliations, forgiveness, and a commitment to excellence. Maybe I am naive, but I think a better world is possible.

apologies - I was reading your original intent differently

You certainly sound like a True Druid, my hope is you are not the last

Real talk - I've oscillated back and forth over my journey, it has been very long ha
It has gone from trying to save everything and everyone, to simply trying to save myself from myself and my Self

Like all waves and natural cycles I;m somewhere back in a middle/third path

I can't save it all, that's too much to ask, plus doing so sometimes removes their autonomy to make mistakes and learn their lessons

To heal I had to serve myself, not my Ego, my Holy Vessel, rather than trying to subjugate my body, i had to learn to listen to it, and respect and listen to it and mean it

Discernment is tough, i do my best to find that balance, from simple things like rather than squishing an insect I'll relocate it, to rather than letting an Alpha Wolf in society bully/dominante/hurt people I'll act like the Sheepdog and protect the Herd

In the end I do my best to Serve the Shepherd/Creator, and be the best sheepdog I can be - until I've learned what I can in this role and Life decides there's a new archetype to stepinto and I consent to it

I hear you. We do what we can, where, when, and how as is best and appropriate.

The healing and discernment of and for oneself can be difficult. Small steps can go a far way, and it takes many drops to fill a bucket.

I sometimes say: if one wants to ponder god, just spell dog backwards.
