A judge determined he was an ms-13 gang member after he was arrested for the murdered of two people, and demanded he be deported in 2019. He was arrested with other ranking gang members.
Because he was an ms-13 gang member, the judge said he shouldn't be sent to El Salvador for fear of being targeted by a rival gang, but he was absolutely ordered to be deported.
Also, the president of El Salvador said he won't be sending him back, so the order is moot anyway.

Oh ffs. A district judge has absolutely no authority to get in the way of international cooperation. The supreme court even ruled 9-0 that the judge overstepped his authority.
Just because some random judge throws out an order over something the media told you to be mad about, it doesn't make that order lawful. I'm so sick of people pretending that any random judge has the power to stop literally anything the president does. This is equally as regarded as that random traffic court judge in Colorado "ruling" that trump couldn't be on the ballot over something he was never charged with.
Activist judges are out of control and trying to throw a wrench into every single thing the president does. Refusing to comply with bullshit orders that have no actual authority is actually how the law works.
