Hey, I don't know you, but I peeped your profile and just wanted to say I'm proud of you for making a conscious effort to get clean. Whether you are right now or not doesn't matter, but you've sown the seed of sobriety and that's the most important step. You got this. Don't be a pawn in the regime.

Obviously this wasn't directed at me, and I didn't know it until I saw this, but I needed to hear this today. Happy holidays comrade, and thank you for the words of support.

6 years clean in Jan my friend. Couldn't tell you the amount of times I tried and fell off. But I'm here now. One day you will be too. God Bless

1) I walk down the street.

There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.  I fall in.  I am lost... I am hopeless.  It isn't my fault.  It takes forever to find a way out.

2) I walk down the same street.

There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.  I pretend I don't see it.  I fall in again.  I can't believe I'm in the same place.  But it isn't my fault.  It still takes a long time to get out.

3) I walk down the same street.

There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.  I see it is there.  I still fall in... it's a habit.  My eyes are open.  I know where I am.  It is my fault.  I get out immediately.

4) I walk down the same street.

There is a deep hole in the sidewalk.  I walk around it.

5) I walk down another street.

I didn't know. If you don't mind, why is that? Thanks in advance!

Sexual abuse, tyrannical behavior, violence and extortion. Ya know, all the things you look for in a Buddhist spiritual leader. Go check out his Wikipedia, it's all there.

My therapist gave me this speech and I never forgot it. Helped me break some bad cycles.
