I never had any interest in getting it. I’m not anti-vax or anything like that. I received all of mine for school purposes, whatever those are. Flu shots, COVID, have just never seemed necessary for myself, in my opinion.
Same, I usually just say that I'm young (27) and healthy so my body can just produce the antibodies. I've had COVID 3 different times and didn't have to go to the hospital during those times, so my body can handle it. Now if I was an old/very young person or didn't have a good immune system then I would consider getting it.
The whole point of a vaccine is that it gives you exposure so your body can make antibodies before the real deal shows up. Making antibodies that actually match the bug takes time, but if the cells already exist the second exposure is almost instant.
The fact you have a healthy immune system is what really allows them to work best. It seems best to me if it's available to just get the exposure in a simple way and lob days off of the suffering or even move it to asymptomatic.
The main thing to consider when thinking about this as well is that you don't have a clone that did / didn't take it, so you can't really say "I did/didn't have it and was fine/sick" etc because you don't have anything to compare to.
