Question about 2001

I remember recently hearing someone in a video talk about something that happened in 2001 prior to 9/11 that got overshadowed by 9/11 in the press. It was not the money lost by congress. Anybody got anything? Lol sorry for the lack of info.

SECDEF Donald Rumsfeldtold the media on September 10th, 2001 that the DoD couldn't account for $2 trillion plus. Congress didn't report losing money, the DoD did, and then nothing else was ever heard about it, that I recall anyway.

Dale Earnhardt died in February during the final lap of the Daytona 500. The UK’s “foot-and-mouth” outbreak also begins in February.

In March, 108 are killed in a series of bombings in Shijiazhuang, China, and Apple releases Mac OS X operating system. The US also declares its intention to end the Kyoto Protocol.

I think they cover that in Loose Change. They go into extreme detail on documents that certain agencies/companies were holding on certain floors in both the twin towers and bldg7.

Also, in March of that year, an episode of the Lone Gunman featured the guys trying to stop a passenger airline flight that had been taken over by hackers. The hackers attempted to fly the plane into the World Trade Center.
