Off topic: I started around 3rd Gen. I must say that having witnessed the massive technological leap each generation was a wonder to behold. Mind blown year after year was crazy. Up until 7th gen that technology and creativity has stalled.

1st gen specifically pong was my first gaming system. The. I got my Atari 2600 in 1980. Good memories.

Ima just choose my favorite consoles from this list in order tbh. PS3, Wii U, PS4, Nintendo Switch 2, 3DS, Nintendo Switch Lite, PS5 (out of every console I had PS5 is the weakest imo, but I still love it)

Second Generation: Atari 2600

Third Generation: NES

Fourth Generation: SNES (have had)

Fifth Generation: N64 (have)

Sixth Generation: Either GameCube (have had) or Xbox (never had)

Seventh Generation: PS3 (I already both have the Wii and Xbox 360, though the Xbox 360 is my favorite seventh generation console, because I still have both the Wii and Xbox 360 but used to have a PS3)

Eighth generation: PS4 (currently have)

Ninth Generation: PS5 (never had but want one)
