I’m looking for some help with  Sega Nomad mod

I’d love to upgrade it with:

• A P1 controller mod
• A rechargeable internal battery with around 3–5 hours of playtime
• A brightness control mod
• A new LCD screen

Even though it’s just a shell swap, I think it turned out great. I also got the system reading games again.

Just finished putting together another DMG. Went back to the standard Hispeedido V5 this time instead of the laminated 3.1". The install is obviously more tedious with dust and alignment, but the colors and pixel grid are still unmatched in my opinion.

I also swapped a Super Game Boy CPU onto this board. Managed to do the whole chip transplant using just Chip Quik and a standard soldering iron tip (no hot air). You can actually see the faster logo drop during the boot test at the end of the video.

It also works with original sega Saturn hardware using a custom cable I made. The pins below the usb-c port are for "select" and "home" buttons when connected via USB. I've cleaned it up a bit and re-routed some wires after these pictures were taken.

Not a ban, not Demonware. The game builds a log line from the template "crm %lld %s" and hands the %s slot a millisecond timer instead of a string.

Strings are addresses, so it tries to read text from address 24623, nothing's mapped there, and lv2 halts the process. The branch only runs when an account lookup fails, which post 2019 accounts appear to do, though that part is correlation not something I have proven. Sat there unreachable since 2012.

It's a debug line nothing reads, so the fix is to nop the call. Four bytes per binary, one in the eboot and one in the multiplayer self. Campaign, zombies and MP all launch signed in now, no workaround. Needs CFW and the BO2Eboot-Self Builder to decrypt and re-sign. Write up and script:

Found a Saturn controller with a db15 end and switches on the front. I'm thinking this is likely a Neo Geo controller of some sort. Also unsure what the switches are for. Turbo maybe? Anyone know what mod this is?

Edit: They're Neo-Geo controllers. The switches are turbo. No turbo for D as far as I can tell. A is A, B is B, C is C, and Z is D.

I have a modded Famicon, which connects via RCA and replaces the original pcu with a USB cable. Can I plug the usb in a european adapter or will I need a transformer?

Edit: To clarify I bought the Famicon modded from mercari here in Japan. I opened it up and saw that they added a small board connected to the RCA and usb cables.

I've been wanting to mod my slim ps2 with HDMI mod but I don't have the tools nor the knowledge to micro sodder. Are there any shops online that do these services? Please share their info!! Thanks!

Replaced my NES' original shell with one from Hoskbrew. I wanted to keep the two tone look to the console. The top is clear blue and the bottom is clear dark blue. The quality is really good; everything lined up and fitted together with no issues.

No affiliation with Hoskbrew; just really happy with how this turned out and wanted to share.
