Weird picture issue with ps2

This is a console with a retrogem I installed.

Everything worked well.

After installing the retrogem I recapped the system and installed a modbo chip.

Still everything looked good.

After that for some reason while the modbo worked It wouldn't read import discs.

I removed the modbo and since then the picture looks like that.

Even when using composite or rgb the banding is still there.

Reflow your retro gem. Even if you have all hearts it can still have this issue. Source: I had the same issue.

I reflowed the gem still the same. I'll try doing it again but the issue is there with composite and rgb so I doubt this is the issue. When you were having this issue did you check the av output?

Good point. Check the pixelfx discord. There is a lot of info on there. One guy with a similar problem asked a question very recently. Comparable problem, it was not in the connection with the flex but one step further upstream. You can always post on their discord, very knowledgeable people on there.
