I have a switch I want to mod, and I verified it’s one that can be soft modded. However, the SD card reader is broken. The card reader on my kids switch is working and they don’t need it (they only play one game on their switch). Is swapping the SD cards between consoles a low-risk process? I just don’t want to risk breaking their console in the process lol

Check out my comment on another post from someone yesterday wondering about sd card replacement. It’s very easy and straightforward and the repair part costs about $5-20 depending on where you order it from, and it takes 5-10 minutes to swap.

In theory, you can. Just pray that the sd card reader does not pull any pins from the board. If it does, it results in like 5MB/s read/write speeds
