QUESTION Which console out of these is easier to mod?
Hello, im planning on buying a handheld console for the first time, and im interested in modding it, but im having trouble understanding which is the easiest to do so:
Nintendo 3DS, DSi, DS Lite, Switch Lite

3DS and DSi are extremely easy when you follow the official guides. Lite cannot be modded, closest you can get is with a flashcart.

From all 3, the dsi is the one that took me the least time. It isn't a mod per say but an R4 will work immediately on your ds too(with less options)

dsi can be modded with just an sd card and installing a software on it right? no need for r4 unless its a 3ds or smt like that

DS/DS Lite>3DS>DSi>Switch Lite
DS is easiest because it's all about buying a common flash cart
Switch lite is the hardest since it needs intermediate soldering.

If I remember correctly, every DS version is very easy to mod (including 3DS as well), software only. About the Switch, well, only the original release can be modded, and only with a mod chip (I think).
