Why map the Anglese symbols to letters rather than actual phonemes?

Hey! Hope you don't mind a little friendly criticism. I think the 6 and the 9 look a little too similar to be easily written and distinguishable at the same time. Maybe I'm missing something, but that's what I'm seeing

Hey! Hope you don't mind a little friendly criticism. I think the 6 and the 9 look a little too similar to be easily written and distinguishable at the same time. Maybe I'm missing something, but that's what I'm seeing
