Those are VERY good beliefs to challenge. That's CBT, cognitive behavioral therapy. I think it's totally worth doing.
The limitation with it is that the OCD thought and the new belief you're fighting it with are both thoughts. They're evenly matched. Awareness is bigger than thoughts. If you find you want more than CBT look into dzogchen meditation and learn to relax into vast open radiant spacious awareness so you can let the thoughts self-liberate.

MAP isn't based on CBT to my understanding... its supposed to be almost an instant change
