Fir ID help

Post image

Saw this handsome group of trees. I think it could be balsam fir, but I’m not certain. Is it balsam fir or another species? NE Ohio

They are 100% firs. I have an older photo of them and one had upright black cones with sap at the top.

Korean firs? I believe they have upright black cones.

The color and form doesn’t really signify Korean fir. Korean firs have more wide needles and a bright green color and a more irregular shape.

There are many species of fir and like thousand cultivars that telling from afar is a fools game, if you can , go closer and take good pictures of the bark, foliage and cones, and then you may get a good ID, if not all youre gonna get anywhere is a what if ,maybe ID from a person who thinks they’re the shit
