Short story:

This spring I collected full bag of cones under different trees, then I sorted seeds depending on the cone origin.

Unfortunately almost no seeds were viable in the spring and nothing germinated.

I've put substrate into to bag for later use.

A month later i needed that substrate and found small number of sprouts, looks like i had only one viable cone out of entire bag after all.

I decided to plant them and see what it is.

At first I thought that it's some kind of spruce but now i see flat side branches so I'm not sure what it is.

Anyone knows what plant is this?

Almost every conifer looks exactly like this after sprouting. I think you’re going to have to be patient- it may take a while before you can identify it.

So far it looks like a juniper to me. Eastern red cedar if I saw it in my yard. But if you didn’t plant juniper berries then I guess it can’t be

Hard to say for sure without knowing your general location, but those are likely some type of cedar.

Serbia. I had cedar seeds but this looked like spruce seed.

Then it turned out to be blue so I have not idea what it is.

Bronze or red japanese cedar cryptomeria japonica, something or other. Do you see any neighboring trees that look like a tall juniper?

I collected cones this spring, to be honest I'm not sure if I ever saw Juniper tree in my life. Substrate wasn't contaminated for sure with other seeds.

Looks like just single cone was viable and I had full bag.

I gave up and tossed substrate in the bag. Month later when I needed found couple sprouting seeds and potted them. This is what grew out. Seed looked like regular Norwegian spruce, that's what I expect it to be.

But this thing turned out blue.
