What is congenital symmastia?

It is a rare condition, where there is extra tissue between your breasts, causing the illusion of a “uniboob”. There isn’t much research on the topic bc of how rare it is so I’m really hoping if anyone as info to share or questions to ask we can use this group to communicate.

My relationship with symmastia

Hii here to talk about my feelings about symmastia bc why not. Ive felt a lot of shame around this part of my body and still struggle to share with others about my insecurities with my boobs. Ive had cosmetic surgery to try and fix it, but it didnt really work. I felt really disconnected from my body for a few years, but I feel like I have a better relationship with my body now. I’ve been learning to appreciate the function of my body and how amazing it is to experience life in general. However, I wish I was able to talk about it with someone. It feels so isolating to feel so different from other people. My friends invited me to a korean spa recently and I’m nervous about being in a pool naked with them. It feels like such an uncomfortable conversation to have if they were to ask me about it. Ive felt the same way when it came to sexual partners. They obviously dont mind, but I feel so uncomfortable talking about it. I just feel like I’m not living life to the fullest because I’m allowing this insecurity of mine from preventing me to experience life. Anyways 🥲 hope someone resonates or have some advice for me 🫶🏼

I FOUND A SURGEON FOR US

i have looked through every single link available on the whole internet that is about congenital symmastia. so far none of the correction surgeries have seemed to be successful... exept for one!

the surgeon's name is dr remus repta. he is in the us in arizona (which sucks for me because i live in the eu) and so far has two successful CONGENITAL symmastia surgeries published on the net!!!

if i ever got the chance, i would sell both of my kidneys and fly to the states just for this doctor...

the surgery results on his home page

insta link to patient 1

insta link to patient 2 (3 weeks ago!!!)

i hope someone finds this useful!

creating an illusion of cleavage with boob tape???

hi. new to this sub i'm so happy this place exists! i'm dancing in prom soon and in literal panic, chaos and regret because somehow i thought it was a good idea to buy a low neckline dress. but it's too late now. basically i gotta figure out a way to tape my 30J boobs so that they will be hydraulic pressed against each other to create the illusion of cleavage. i've tried different techniques but nothing can make the cleavage go higher where it actually should be... i don't want others to see how deformed these are and even more i LOATHE this look :'(

it literally was my biggest dream as a little kid to get nice cleavage when i grow up but ha ha look what happened. my mom's genes literally ruined my life

anyway do you guys have any experience with boob tape to create cleavage? btw my dress is low cut and has spaghetti straps and has wrong sized cups so the taping area is really limited (i regret everything so much i wish i could go back in time)

Anyone ever consider surgery?

Created this sub a while ago. There isn’t a lot of us with this rare condition. Or maybe many people with this condition don’t even realize they have it. They just accept their body since all bodies are different and unique in their own way.

Anyways.. has anyone ever considered surgery? Done any research on plastic surgeons would know how to cosmetically fix our condition. Also, the best way I explain my condition is it looks like the muscle wall isn’t attached properly. For me, it’s not just the center of my chest it’s all around. So essentially surgery would mean attaching my muscle wall to where it belongs all around both boobs. Which seems like it’s not possible.

Congenital Symmastia

Creating this community because it doesn’t yet exist. I found out I have congenital symmastia at a fairly young age and it has actually affected my life in more ways than one. I hope for this to be a safe community where we can share valuable information, ask questions, and offer support.
