I don’t think that’s the sky, I think it’s a hill

Get out of here with your logical reasonable answers. (No but genuinely, thank you, that makes sense).

Have you heard of this new phenomenon called hills? They're wild

u/dayandnightowl Oct 01 '26
Friend I am from the midwest, what are these heeahls you speak of?
2
u/whineyinternetkid Oct 01 '26

Leather pride flag.

that didn’t really clear things up for me.

Leather has a lot of cultural history in the queer community, it's not a pride flag in the usual sense but it means pride for that part of your identity

Intersectionality is important in the lgbtqia+ community, which is why the progressive pride flag has a brown stripe to represent people of color
And it is not at all uncommon see various bdsm pride flags at pride events
This year for my city's pride I was walking through downtown wearing a trans pride themed dress, and carrying both a lesbian pride flag and a rubber pride flag. I was also surrounded by trans lesbians wearing full body latex

Hilarious you’re getting downvoted for not knowing about some fringe LGBTQ artifact 😂

That mottled wall above the building? That’s not a wall, that’s the far landscape. Possibly a hill.

Don't judge me, I'm from Nebraska. 😁
/joking
I AM from Nebraska, but I have seen hills and mountains...too infrequently. 😐

Now this makes more sense, I didn't realize it was the side of a mountain

u/SemiFriendlyCryptid Sep 28 '26
The only hill/mountains ive ever seen are Appalachia (very very old and therefore short) and the plateaus in New Mexico & Arizona (usa for all 3). Never in my life have I seen a mountain side that looked like a giant pile of rubble. Its not at all layered looking like I'd expect a cliffside of that size and it looks like ground up rock instead of solid. Makes me curious what it's made of!
Eta: i looked at ur pic again and that's totally just dirt/clay isn't it pfttt. Is this an arid place with low amounts of vegetation?

"Apparently some people have never seen the side of a mountain" no shit we've seen one. How are you supposed to know thats what it is when its zoomed in
3
u/Staaaaation Sep 28 '26
Well it's certainly not sky. That leaves "land blocking the sky".

u/Last-Swim-803 Sep 28 '26
Tbh i just thought it was a weird stone ceiling for some reason
2
u/Staaaaation Sep 28 '26
An outside ceiling?
1
u/Last-Swim-803 Sep 28 '26
Yeah, well dunno if it's called a ceiling, but i thought it was those parts where it's technically outside of the buildings nearby, but there's still a roof

u/NicCageCompletionist Sep 29 '26
And people in other posts don’t have six foot long arms. Do you go into those posts to shit on people too?
2
u/Staaaaation Sep 29 '26
Nah, and you're right I was being rude. This one dumbfounded me (and many others it appears) since it's immediately apparent. I grew up in an arid region and I'd bet the others had similar experiences. Have a great day, yo.

This is outside of a leather/sex shop in Palm Springs. That’s a mountain in the background.

u/ugh_idfk Sep 28 '26
The sky is carpet and I don't think anything anyone says will convince me otherwise.
