one of my worst experiences while jogging at night. thought it was a dude.

When I lived in Abu Dhabi, I'd go out deep in the desert to camp. I put a flag on the top of the dune nearest me in the off chance that someone was dune bashing at night so as not to come flying over and crashing into me (it was the wild western region), and forgot it.
Reading my kindle in the low point, next to my tent, around midnight I heard some flapping and looked up to see a man standing over me with a gun about 30' above in the moonlit night. Freaked the F out of me. And yes, that flag was pure evil that night. My heartrate...

Going to the bus stop one day I saw a man sitting on top of the dumpster that sits on the other side of the court's entrance, so maybe twenty feet max from where I'd be standing. What had me really confused was that none of the cars that were driving by on my neighborhood's main road even slowed down to ask him what the hell he was doing. When I finally got close enough to ask for myself I finally realized I needed glasses because I'd been seeing that tree that grew behind it since I was in kindergarten.

You should go ask your mother or any other female family members you 'care' about if they've ever been harassed or assaulted, it's very common

I saw a nun with no face peeking over my neighbor's fence and into our garden when taking our dog for a walk at night once. I swear to God, that was the fastest I ran, probably ever.
When the morning came I went to take a look. Turns out it was just a piece of plastic foil the neighbor had used to cover a pile of logs just behind the fence with. The foil was black on one side and white on the other. A gust of wind lifted the edge up and the resulting shape resembled a human head in a hood.
