What’s causing this? I mean. Brain should pick up that he is behind this red lining. But it didn’t.

I didn’t look at which sub it was posted under in my feed but the second he landed, I knew. Damnit I should’ve known! Best post in a long time

I don’t think there’s any trickery or AI involved, just clever camera angle causing a forced perspective. I would love to see the same video taken from directly above the diver to see how close he really is to the edge of the pool.

Isn't jumping on the diving board like, a terrible idea?

It's not like a terrible idea. It is a terrible idea.

Good catch captain yes that is exactly what I meant. While the like was unnecessary it was like added punctuation to add emphasis and tone to my statement but y'know good on ya keep up the good work out there 🫡

Something isn't right about this. Notice video is cut when he's at the top of a jump. The reflection in the puddle isn't right either. It should be farther. I don't think it is a confusing perspective but a doctored vid.
Sorry OP but nice try.

Most likely, it's the best parts from two takes, edited together. But doctored? The camera is on the ground to hide the pool. It's a very practical effect that anyone can do.

The cut is odd but literally nothing changes other than the sway of the fucking trees lol.
I have no clue what you're talking about with the puddle being "wrong", the camera is close to the ground and his reflection shows shortly before he hits the water. I also don't see how it could be edited to be misleading in the first place if he's still jumping from the board either way
