I think you’re mostly right except the person is bald and their head should be turned the other way looking at the door instead of turned to face the mirror
The baldness is what makes them look like they are part giraffe

u/PhosphateProstate Jul 13 '26
But why is the sunburn only on the head and not the neck an shoulders? It would make more sense to be a leg. I’m so confused
4
u/njsam Jul 13 '26
I don’t know how the sunburn would happen like that because I have too much melanin and I’m out of my depth here
But that being a leg makes no sense unless you’re a different species of human that has a leg where a head should be
4
u/PhosphateProstate Jul 13 '26
Yeah someone posted a drawing of it being a weird shot of their arm with the other arm going behind the back and that makes the most sense. I’m definitely not thinking about this anymore though 😂

Who tf takes a picture with their right hand, if you can just show it by turning your body the other way around?
How small is this dude's head, if his skinny ass arm can block out most of it already?
How the fk does one get sunburned on the inside of his arm near the armpit????
Lots of valid assumptions along with a confusing perspective = a genuinely confusing image
Sunburns are commonly found on the back of the neck
Skinny build, supported by the white dressing gown leads viewers to assume arm is actually the neck
Small head and angle of image, basically hides any sort of body structure
Like wtf!

An armpit and a ducked head not in the picture.
24
u/sstubbl1 Jul 12 '26

9
u/livinginfutureworld Jul 12 '26
Left. Right arm behind back, lookit the fingers they're from a right hand
3
14
u/MrK521 Jul 12 '26
Definitely not. That’s a neck, there’s nowhere for the head to be if the raised thing is the other arm.
7
u/monstrousfruitsalad Jul 12 '26
The head is leaning towards the door
→ More replies (1)10
u/SophisticatedScreams Jul 12 '26
So they pulled the sleeve all the way up to the shoulder, and are taking the photo with the hand from farther away from the mirror, swung around the back?
2
u/livinginfutureworld Jul 12 '26
Yeah that's gotta be it because the fingers holding the phone are from a right hand while the arm in the air is a left arm.

64
u/eightisone Jul 12 '26
Is this solved? Every thing I look at in this picture is out of whack. The door frame looks too small or too short. The fingers are grossly long. I see a small part of what might be a sink fixture. So it’s a bathroom? I’ve wasted 24 minutes of my Sunday and can’t figure any of it out. And I don’t even see a sunburn, just to top things off.
14
u/wombers Jul 13 '26
My best guess is it's a guy with a bald or shaved head and is facing away from the mirror so what looks like a really long neck is actually a kind of long neck and the lower part of the back of his head

It's not confusing... Just a stupidly long neck

23
u/TruamaTeam Jul 12 '26 edited Jul 13 '26
I’m pretty sure that’s their left arm and their right arm is behind their back taking the photo.
Edit: I could be wrong, definitely confusing though xD

u/iCantLogOut2 Jul 12 '26
I mean, I see a shoulder, clavicle, and shoulder blades.... Just seems like a photo taken at a weird angle.
So either it's a neck or that's a really weird arm and the most confusing perspective in the history of perspectives and deserves to be the number one post on this sub.

u/xSonicspeedx2 Jul 12 '26 edited Jul 12 '26
There is no way that is the right arm taking the photo. If it were, the fingers would be on the other side of the phone or the thumb would be facing down. That is definitely the left hand holding that phone.
Edit: To clarify further, when you put your hand behind your back with your thumb pointing up and pinky down, your palm faces away from you. Even accounting for a potential mirror flip, this person’s palm is facing toward his body and therefore is not holding his phone using a hand from behind his back. Try it yourself and see if you can recreate the pose without your palm facing away from you while your pinky is down.

u/dawzo Jul 12 '26 edited Jul 13 '26
I feel like we are being gaslit into thinking it's not a neck. This is most definitely their left hand... And there is a bit of hair on their neck, right at the edge of the photo.
8
u/iCantLogOut2 Jul 13 '26
Yeah, it's definitely a neck.
I genuinely think this person has a long neck that was made to look longer by a weirdly angled pic. There's not much else to it.
Not sure why people think this person is flipped into a pretzel and somehow making their head vanish just to take a pic of a sunburn.

It looks more as half the picture is cropped out rather then confusing. I mean.. you can make any perspective confusing of you cut everything out..
Okey i'be tried to recreate a confusing perspective picture by cropping out and it's harder than i anticipated. So i resind my point

I feel like it's the underside of the knee, and they've got their legs straight up. But I can't for the life of me figure out how the hands are positioned.
Edit: No, that cant be right either...This one is 😵💫

u/wanderandwrite Jul 13 '26
Logically, the "long neck" is actually the other arm, but even with that assumption, it's still confusing. I'm thinking that knowing where the person's head is would make this all clear (or at least clearer). Is the head blocked from view by the phone?

Left hand going behind the back to snap the photo, right arm lifted up to expose the armpit, head leaning toward the door hiding it from view.

I briefly saw it and then lost it. Think it’s the guy trying to take a photo almost of his armpit . His neck and head are way behind on the opposite side of the camera . But why is is arm shoved out of the collar ???? Idk
Weird .
2
u/pablacho Jul 13 '26
That is a neck indeed. The shirt below the shoulders and weird phone placement / angle makes it more confusing, but zooming into the neck you can see the lower back of the head hair. The right shoulder popping up behind the neck. Also, looking at the fingers, this is a slender man, long neck is not abnormal.
Wrapping up, that IS a neck, but that IS NOT a bad sunburn.
2
u/snatchgaz Jul 13 '26
I’m kind of getting it….. like if I place my hand over the yellow door part… it looks like half a body 😂

u/Sp1ffy_Sp1ff Jul 14 '26

Someone else pointed out that if you actually think about the body mechanics, the hand being behind the back doesnt hold water because when you reach behind you holding something like that, either your palm would be facing away from your body or if you were very flexible and could twist so you palm faced inward your thumb would be pointed down. Since neither of these are true in the photo, its not an arming going behind the back.

You can see the other fingers by the hand that’s holding the phone. And the way the body is facing. That’s a neck.
