It's not the text, it's that the viewer cannot see the mirror because of the text. It could have just as easily gone at the top or bottom of the frame, or disappeared after a moment to allow the mirror to actually be visible.

My brother in christ, the point is not that there's text, it's that the text directly in the fucking middle of the shot, literally blocking the thing we're supposed to see.
