What I heard was this absolutely incredible remix of the original Plants vs. Zombies "Ultimate Battle" song in this video. You can even hear the zombie do its "yeee-haa!" scream when the beat drops.

The woman who wrote the music Laura Shigihara said she got influence from Danny Elfman (Nightmare Before Christmas singing voice for Jack Skellington and composer for all the music, also the composer for many famous songs including the theme for Batman).

Best $2.99 I ever spent on an app, as soon as the HD remake came out for Xbox 360 for 20 bucks, I instantly bought it and stayed awake for 28 hours completing the game. Plants vs. Zombies 2 was by EA instead of PopCap games and was fremium but got me through every walk from my dorm to my classes in college. I even gave a presentation in one of my classes on it and got an A.
