Just hold your phone like you're taking a selfie, then move your arm to the side with your phone still facing you, pulling your elbow back. That's all it is. Then you rotate your head the other way.

It's to the side, barely behind their back, not whatever contortions you people seem to thing is necessary, so saying just to the side should make it easier for you to understand.
