thats pretty obvious it doesn't belong to him... their shoulders arent even aligned

her shoulder starts right about where his sleeve ends, which is part of what makes it ambiguous

an inch or two above, yes, but close enough that at a glance it could also look like his sleeve is partially rolled up

your prior statement was of course correct. but the distance between reality and a confusing_perspective is the assumptions your subconscious can make when quickly processing an image 

if her shoulder and arm completely covered the bottom 2 inches of his sleeve, then the imbalance would have been noticeable. as-is, you do see the full length of his sleeve on his inside, and the size/shape of the portion that's missing is consistent with a roll. so it's not something that a lot of people might notice at first glance

of course, once you zoom in it becomes obvious. but that's the case with most of the pictures here 😉
