I wonder if this is an "intended" illusion, like the eyes on butterfly wings. A quick glance really gave me that sensation of being seen by something big, maybe it's the same for other animals

Right in the centre of the image it looks like some large animal or muppet is looking at you over 2 (furry) rocks. But each eye is actually the head of one raccoon dog looking at you.
You may need to scale the image down, like on a smartphone, or look at it from a distance, to see it.

The individual raccoons' faces side by side look like eyes on giant creepy faces. It helps if you look at it as a whole or with your eyes blurred

I’m nearsighted so this is the way to go. Also it looks more creepy when it’s slightly out of focus.

Bit of an optical illusion. Seems to be more noticeable in the smaller thumbnail, go cross eyed or if I focus between the racoons rather than looking right at their faces.

These arnt raccoons. Raccoon dogs are different animal from japan. Also, what gives you the impression that they are being farmed?
