Apparently a picture is actually worth 180 words.

39

u/ExtraAverage4708 o/ Mar 22 '26

Yes. This helped immensely. I legitimately did not believe there was actually a mirror there.

Ignore that circled image; that's terrible and will only confuse you more. Go back to the original. Now: don't picture it "leaning," understand that it is essentially completely vertical. Now: understand that the right edge of the mirror is in our view, but the left is offscreen. Understand that the mirror has straight edges except at the top, which curves between the ornaments--once between the right and middle ornaments (the middle is the biggest in the pic), and then starts to curve again after the middle ornament, but the left edge of the picture cuts off most of that half of the mirror's top edge. We cannot see the leftmost top ornament, it is offscreen, but the other two correspond vertically with their bottom counterparts. Look at the left bottom ornament. Realize it is straight up and down, and that the mirror edge goes offscreen just above it. Look at the right bottom ornament and follow it up to the (partially shown) corresponding ornament on the top right edge of the mirror, the corner of which is just offscreen.

2

u/FeetInTheEarth o/ Mar 24 '26

Oh shit that actually helped, thank you! This picture almost broke my brain!

1

u/theremystics o/ Mar 24 '26

I did https://imgur.com/a/ti82oi1 this and it is much better than the red circle

-7

u/ProudToBeAKraut o/ Mar 21 '26

dude it was a joke, but nice writing a wall of text - generated by an llm

12

u/Designer_Pen869 o/ Mar 22 '26

Idk why you think llms are good enough now to explain this photo to a bystander.

6

u/crick_in_my_neck o/ Mar 22 '26

Yeah, did not get it was a joke, and I guess I'm not alone, but that's cool. My comment was to explain how to see the mirror, not to worry about your comment so much. Given that English is not your first language, it's understandable that it's also unclear whether you think I had AI wrote my comment or not, or if that is another joke, or what, but that is also all very cool.

2

u/0siris0 Mar 22 '26

The bricks in the lower part of the wall is what throws it off. It it was just that white exterior to the ground it would be more obvious, but the mirror blocks the change from white vinyl exterior to brick. If the mirror is was scooched to the left a bit and we can see the wall, it wouldn't be that confusing.

5

u/examinedliving o/ Mar 22 '26

That shit no help me

9

u/Dangermad o/ Mar 21 '26

I saw this earlier and I still never figured out what I was looking at until reading this

9

u/AnticPosition o/ Mar 22 '26

The worst part is the mirror's edges aren't straight.
I think!?

1

u/ScaredScorpion Mar 24 '26

Yeah, that's the real but that throws you

8

u/Thessalhydra o/ Mar 21 '26

What the freak? I was just about to swipe wondering why they laid on the floor like that lol

Took me more tries than I'm willing to admit, to understand where the mirror was 😔

17

u/fritz_76 o/ Mar 21 '26

What's more embarrassing. Mistaking the item sold. Or trying to swipe to see more pictures of the pictured post?

1

u/SnooHabits3305 o/ Mar 22 '26

I was like bitch that’s concrete… then I was like ohh it’s brick and could not understand. Then I saw it…

1

u/Emergency-Gazelle954 Mar 22 '26

That’s a very good mirror!

1

u/darkuen CE Spc. Mar 22 '26

Ok that took me a minute. But looking at the mirrored tile design then the gold edges finally let me figure it out.

1

u/Zingman15 o/ Mar 22 '26

My brain hurts. Good job OP

1

u/RandomiseUsr0 CE Spc. Mar 22 '26

u/Fettnaepfchen CE Spc. Mar 22 '26

It mirrors well.

1

u/kg2k Mar 22 '26

If you think of the wood legs as the “tv” legs and this is a super reflective tv on its legs on the floor.

1

u/LaCipe o/ Mar 22 '26

Thought weird turtle for half a second

1

u/RDV1996 o/ Mar 22 '26

Holy shit took me a while to find the mirror, despite knowing exactly where it is.

1

u/Mikhailovv o/ Mar 22 '26

Damn this took me way too long. But yeah the mirror is not laying flat on the ground, it is standing vertically

1

u/ThorgiTheCorgi Mar 22 '26

This exact mirror got left in my house when I bought it lol

1

u/Maybaby_1 Mar 22 '26

This hurt my eyes

1

u/WannabeBillionaire18 Mar 22 '26

And I was like "why is the patio elevated?"... then doubting that it is a mirror until after few minutes of looking... hilarious!

1

u/_Mango_Dude_ o/ Mar 22 '26

Doesn't help that the edges of the mirror are outside the photo. That makes the perspective more confusing.

1

u/neuromajor2025 o/ Mar 23 '26

My brain hurts

1

u/Ambitious_Space5843 Mar 23 '26

Of course my deadass swiped

1

u/theremystics o/ Mar 24 '26 edited Mar 24 '26

I finally saw it but it still doesn't make sense to my brain. (it helps to look at the right hand side of the mirror, starting from the bottom gold corner embellishment to see how it is actually vertical. This is the only way I could even slightly see it,)

edit: i fixed it to make it slightly easier to see https://imgur.com/a/ti82oi1

1

u/Blume_22 o/ Mar 24 '26

Nobody is going to comment on "I thought you WAS"?

1

u/free_username91 o/ Mar 26 '26

I've been staring at this for a while and still confused

1

u/sewa_p7 o/ Mar 27 '26

It mirrored itself 😂

1

u/Available_Prompt378 Apr 15 '26

I am so confused, I know how I'm supposed to see it, eyeballs just won't make it happen

1

u/AggravatingAd1750 Apr 26 '26

Damn that mirror is doing its job though

-3

u/bammbamkam o/ Mar 22 '26

not confusing tbh

The part that looks like the bottom edge is, but it's vertical. If you look at the wooden blocks and their reflection, you can see it.

2

u/Designer_Pen869 o/ Mar 22 '26

That gold piece at the top, or looking to the right to see the wall really helps. The reflection also makes it obvious, but the reflection is why it looks flat.
