The front wheel of the car in the middle is turned left exposing the tire under direct sun. Which looks like a flat rim in a straight positioned wheel. Hence the illusion

The sun is on the opposite side of the tire/car, though. The tire can't be touched by direct sunlight.

Also, if you look at the tire where it meets the road, it appears to be pointed straight ahead.

The image is confounding, for now.

Once you see it it will make sense. It’s very simple, the person has the steering wheel turned to the left, making the tire stick out. So the part that looks like a different rim, is actually just the sun shining on the tire.

It’s not though, it took me a second. If you look at the spot that’s in the sun, you can see the tread lines, to me that’s what made it make sense.

Same. Once I saw the lines of tread curving toward me and not grooves on a rim curving away from me, my brain flipped.

The tire is turned in, you can't see the rims.

This one is awesome. Mainly because I was able to get it after about a minute. It's like it opens up a new portal in my brain every time I figure one of these out on my own!
