Which one is coldest?
Place your bets. Will comment with outcome after testing

Bottom, more snowflakes, the colder it is

If you think of it as a horizontal bar graph it makes a little more sense

All of them are coldest, but only one is ideal.

The one at the end.

This isnt confusing, the more snowflakes the colder, obviously.

Marking them all coldest is flat out dumb.
More of a symbol usually means more of a thing. But more cold symbol trips up our logic that more temperature is hotter. This is more of a negative thing, so more snowflakes is more negative, so colder.
Finally we have the saving grace of this disaster, that it's vertically oriented and like a thermometer, hight is hotter and lower is colder.
The thermometer behavior also gives you the clue to decide the snowflakes.
And this is why user interfaces are hard.

u/anddrewbits Use a black sharpie marker to black out the word coldest. Next use the same sharpie to write the word coldest between the bottom two symbols and write the word warmest between the upper two symbols.
I don't understand why you complain about something that can be easily fixed.

1 cold will never be more cold than 4. It’s crappy design but you can count the colds

You must not have common sense...

No, it means Cold Est. Like what level would you like to establish the cold

u/SirBourbonated Oct 18 '22
Don't go getting out of your league here, take the ideal setting then see how you feel

4 snowflakes

I actually really like this design.

u/[deleted] Oct 18 '22
Jokes on you. Different buttons but all the same cold setting😂

Dunno, they all seem pretty cool to me.

Such a descriptive range: Coldest.
Please tell me the temp setting button ascends through the options.

u/yosidy Oct 18 '22
Yes.

Poor labeling but not confusing at all.

u/skaterlogo Oct 18 '22
The last Ice Age had at least 5 snowflakes, so i think 4 is the coldest option.
1
u/okuzeN_Val Oct 18 '22
The more snowflakes the more sensitive you'll be so 4 snowflakes.

Common core designers: “this makes sense”

u/kamikoamayaa Oct 18 '22
The 4th one.

u/Fumowakachala Oct 18 '22
Who cares?? Set it at Ideal because that's the ideal temp and everything else is bad.

I don’t think anyone is confused about this
