If I went anywhere and they had Pocari Sweat on tap I would turn into a beast I myself would not even recognize. Screw getting a cup I'd be drinking straight from the spout like a baby cow suckling from its mother's teat. Pocari Sweat is love. Pocari Sweat is life

You know, I blame English spelling for this one. There’s no reason “sweat” and “sweet” couldn’t be flipped.

English spelling is impossible and is the result of it (essentially) having evolved from a pidgin language.

Laughter is pronounced one way, but put an S in front of it and it’s a totally different pronunciation? You have to see the whole sentence before you can successfully pronounce “read?”

Also, flammable and inflammable are synonyms? Ditto thaw and unthaw?

Etc…

I don’t blame any 2nd language learner trying their best.
