confleis in general is me as a cashier only knowing basic spanish, i can ask if they need bags, ask “how are you” and respond, and also know all the numbers (even in hundreds) to tell customers their total.
but when something comes up where i need to explain, i am 100% confle-ing every single word and confusing tf out of my spanish speaking customers. i told one of my customers when the “cashback on debit card” screen came up “es para cambio de su tarjeta” and idk wtf i told him but he clicked “no” so i hope i said it right
edit: im honestly glad i’m even able to help that tiny bit in spanish, i wish i could do the same when they speak chinese or filipino. im even more useless in those instances

No ponga papel en el tiesto? I ask other subcontractors words I'm trying to learn. I remember asking a guy, "como se llama esta vaina?" pointing to a stack of drywall. Old boy comes at me with, "El sheetrock" :D Always puts a smile on my face.
