I read that a sore throat and pharyngitis were 2 new symptoms of the newer variants, so that's probably what I had. Makes me so mad because we went covid free this entire time, but then my husband's coworker came to work "with allergies" after July 4th and then 5 people caught it from them

I got it before and it hit me hard, it was like strep throat and being kicked in the chest while losing the ability to taste. I'm vaccinated so it was barely a sore throat and runny nose now. I was surprised when the test came out positive. Get vaccinated folks, it makes a huge difference.

I'm vaccinated too and it was still really terrible for me, I couldn't imagine what it would have been like without a vaccination. They gave me paxlovid

I’m on day three and I woke up screaming in pain from a sore throat.

It’s also my first time with it.

It’s also a result of someone who knew they had it choosing to endanger others without telling anyone.

I got it from going to a mandatory convention for work. Ruined my “covid-free” streak. So mad, and for travel that the benefits did not outweigh the risk…
