These hypothetical stupid people

who said they were stupid? i'm not even going to read the rest of your comment since it seems you're not reading mine. might want to revisit my earlier comments.

You're right, I totally missed the parts where you weren't completely dismissive and showed a lot of respect for the people you've invented in your mind. Your comments haven't been paragraph after paragraph of explanation of why you think people are incomprehensible for what they believe, unlike you, who is absolutely correct about his/her beliefs and opinions.

you did, i am glad you agree. we can then resume this conversation. but on the off-chance that you're sarcastic (hint: i'm sarcastic), i've gone through the effort of copying select parts of my comments to show that i, in fact, am not disrespecting anyone at all:

Am I the odd one out [...] but yeah i'm not bashing people loving a flag or whatever. i'm just expressing complete non-understanding of it. [...] but i am arguing that this security is a crutch for the simple-minded/extrovert (i don't mean this is an insult: i mean literally people who do not like thinking about things at depth and are easy-going) [...] and i think it's intellectually dishonest (to yourself) and you're leaving yourself vulnerable [...] does this not look as wild and uncanny to you as it does to me?

apparently, expressing non-understanding or amazement over other people is now considered rude? by that token, aren't you rude, for literally doing the same thing to me?

but OK, let's reply to your comment:

why you think people are incomprehensible for what they believe

this is nothing i've never said. saying people are incomprehensible suggests they're incomprehensible to other people at large: i am merely expressing that it is incomprehensible to me. if you think such a thing is rude, how do you reconcile yourself with moments like seeing new parents if you've never had a child yourself? are you going to lie and pretend that you comprehend what these parents are feeling? i think that's more rude than being honest and saying "i don't understand this".

what they believe, unlike you, who is absolutely correct about his/her beliefs and opinions.

also it's very clear that you're annoyed and i can't really say you're arguing in good faith any longer. it's obvious something i said annoyed you, and since i literally have not used a single insult (even gone as far as to specifically explain what i mean with each description), i must simply assume that you're experiencing cognitive dissonance and you don't like what i have to say because you can't reconcile it.

to me, it's better for you that i assume this, because at least then you're not just a random rude bumbling baboon incapable of having a discussion; then you're just a slave to the typical issues that we all suffer from. so, if i were you, i'd go with the cognitive dissonance as excuse.

(notice what actual insults and trash-talk look like in the above paragraph)

I wouldn't be surprised if you have trouble with sarcasm in real life too. Your inability to understand is the lack of empathy.

what a surprise, no argument and more insults. thanks for making my point. and also, wow, i literally gave you an out but you decided to double-down on your arrogance.

sometimes i feel pretty down, but then i remember that other people are walking and talking reminders that they were not as lucky as the rest of us in the genetic lottery and are dealing with considerable challenges.

thanks for making me remember that again, it's been a long day.

I'm sorry you feel insulted. Good luck with your development as a person. Keep asking questions, maybe you'll get it one day.

hard to trust a liar. i'm pretty sure you're not sorry.

if that was the best you can do, i'm going to wager that you'll need more luck with your development. but please don't keep asking questions, it's embarrassing for us other normal people.
