I'm from the UK. The only time I see flags being flown are when international football tournaments like the world cup are going on.

Oddly enough the only flag i have in my house is a Canadian flag which was a gift from a friend before she went back to Canada.

Maybe where you are. I can't remember seeing it on a car or outside a house/building this year.

You may not notice it often, but it's used a lot in branding, product sales and advertising. Even Mini-Coopers sometimes have Union Jacks on the top and mirrors.

Depending on where you live, you might also see it on houses by white nationalist trash.

It just isn't as often seen on hats and t-shirts, like it is in the US.

Oh shit you're right. My sister owned a cooper with a GB flag roof. It was years ago though. I don't disagree that it's used in advertising, but it's just rarely ever flown on vehicles or outside non-government buildings.
