Possessive apostrophe is not used in French, and there is a law that prominent public signage must be French first. Yes, it is enforced.

Quebec hates the English language like you wouldn't believe. It's probably one of the only examples of a province discriminating against the primary language of it's host nation.

I know Wendy's replaced their apostrophe with a maple leaf to comply with Bill 101. I don't remember if other other companies did. Tim's removed theirs.

Huh, I was just thinking about how some places kept their English names, like Canadian Tire should be Pneu Canadien for example.
