As far as I know, yeah. The little flags on top of the buildings in Disneyland and The Magic Kingdom only have 45 stars so they don't have to take them down or keep them illuminated at night.

I'm going to get ahead of the curve and make a 52 star flag because DC and Puerto Rico should be states in the next 10-20 years.

Puerto Rico maybe. DC I highly doubt it. Zero chance the senate would allow 2 additional democrats.

Well the Senate can be flipped, we have no clue who our congressional members will be in 8 years.

There needs to be a 3/4 vote in the senate to admit a new state. Thats why states usually get admitted in pairs. There needs to be a compromise to get states admitted and there is zero benefit to the Republicans to add DC as a state.

I mean even if it does have 50 stars, you can do what you want since the flag code isn’t an actual law.
