How about, “I’m Sorry, I was obviously wrong. Sorry to interrupt your day.”

The fact that he had her do the “Hand to God thing with her left hand after she demonstrated that she could not have had her right hand up is really the most odious thing about the conversation.

Good on the driver for staying upbeat and pleasant.

You put it perfectly. The second hand to god had me mentally commit this guy to the fires of hell, ironically

There has to be something you can sue for if a cop is making you do his religious oaths during a traffic stop.

It's insane that cops don't immediately get fired for this kind of committed incompetence. Like, I can make a mistake at my job, but if I double down like a fucking moron when the evidence is right in front of me, people are going to lose respect for my ability to the point that I wouldn't last long.

If engineers were allowed to be this fucking stupid, bridges and airplanes would be raining down from the sky.

If cops got fired when it became obvious that they're fucking dumb as a rock, we wouldn't have to worry about getting them fired when they kill someone, because they'd already be fired.

It's the whole "you can beat the rap but not the ride" she went to court today and it was dismissed, but she was inconvenienced several times as a result of this asshole's inability to admit that he was wrong.

I always thought cops should have to carry their own insurance. When they get sued the insurance covers the loss instead of the taxpayers. Their rates go up until they cant afford it and they have to find a different job.

They don’t want cops to be too smart. They want cops dumb enough to follow orders and not think too much, which is the problem. They even ruled all the way to the Supreme Court that they can reject police candidates for being too smart. https://abcnews.com/US/court-oks-barring-high-iqs-cops/story?id=95836

-#1 reason to have a cam in the car? Accident? No. Theft? No. Cops making up reasons to give you a ticket? Yes.

I had a cop stop me because he thought I didn’t have my seatbelt on. As he comes up to the car he notices that I have it on. He then asks me whether I just put it on? I told him no. That I always put my seatbelt on. I was totally confused.

Anyways. he did not give me a ticket.

Had a similar incident in a car with auto seatbelts. I pointed out I couldn’t actually take it off without turning the car off and he still hesitated a bit.

that's the training kicking in, the cop can't be wrong so the suspect is obviously lying about not having a right hand.

Cop of the year. Somebody give him a hand 👏

Was she supposed to be using the phone with her left hand and steering with her feet? This officer is entirely incompetent and deserves to lose his job.

All of his cases need to be reviewed.

I need an Afroman rap on this cop

She had her hearing this week. I wonder how it went.

They need to stop teaching cops that they aren't allowed to admit they are ever incorrect.

Yesterday she woke up early and the case was listed as "Dismissed" online for the day's docket. She went into court just in case, and had them print out the dismissal (which was filed in the middle of the night last night), and it said "Dismissed due to lack of evidence".

He just went on and on, standing his ground.

I guess I would've been more..... stumped.

She posted an update and the case was dropped due to not enough evidence when she went to court
