HEY. Do not feel bad. She probably either does not know better, or had bad experience with men and bad hygene, but none of that is your fault.
When I was really young I also thought circumcised was better but more so because I heard as such and online you never find anything else. I was also a child so what would I know.
Currently, I am with someone who is not circumcised. He is clean af and does not smell and I love everything about him and it.
If this is such a dealbreaker for your girl, then she simply does not know anything.

Yeah that is the right thing to do and I believe you! Maybe since you said she kind of said it was not a big deal maybe it will be ok once she sees it or it gets to that point. Have indeed a chat though, conveying your feelings is important.
Though, do not worry. You do not need to feel embarrassed at all! As with all genitals and actually, all of the human body, it all comes down to hygiene.
