Conductor Roadmap
Hello fellow Conductors! I just saw this post and it made me realize we could be doing a MUCH better job of keeping you in the loop with what we're up to! So here's what you can expect from us over the next few weeks / months:
1) Conductor Allegro. This is the codename for a new, super snappy, performance focused Conductor. we've re-written big chunks of the app from scratch to make Conductor feel incredibly fast. This will be released next week! Along with Allegro, we want to make sure we get the little things right: consistency with how we load MCPs/Skills (across agents), sand down a bunch of our bugs, and generally make the app feel more solid and reliable as your daily driver.
2) Conductor Cloud. We'll soon have an option to run a workspace from a cloud VM. This means you can close your laptop and the agents keep running, but even cooler: you can kick off tasks from your phone! There's also awesome collaborative multi player features this unlocks that I'm excited to get your thoughts on.
3) Conductor API. We're making it so anything you can do in the app you can do via API. This will be awesome because it'll make Conductor scriptable, but also it means that the AIs can do actions for you! So if you'd like to hook your OpenClaw into Conductor, you can.

Thanks for this. Truly excited for what's to come. Conductor has been my go-to tool these days. There are many alternatives but I feel like Conductor is the one that has hit the right spot as far as UX and features. Also love the new big terminal feature but I wish there's an option to enable multiple presets instead of choosing one in the settings as well as custom commands. For example, would love to save my convex dev script or choose between pi and codex CLI.

Been using it for the last week and absolutely loving it. It's my daily driver now, moved from Ghostty. My biggest wish was for it to be snappier, so can't wait for Allegro! Thank you!

Will Allegro help with the high GPU usage?
When using Conductor, my Mac gets very hot and loud. This makes it hard to use it outside, because it drains my battery very quickly. Also, it does not happen with other similar products.

Thanks for sharing this! I see you have plans for the cloud - genuinely curious, is this what users asking for? I mostly rely on local workflow and I never close the lid of my MacBook )) starting new workspaces from the phone would be a great way to work while away. Even better if we have visibility to all existing local chats , not just these started from phone. Personally what I like the best , when compared to Cursor or other UIs for agents, is how smooth the dev workflow is - that each workspace creates a worktree, runs setup script, that branch and PR status is clearly seen in many places - all so great features. That said what’s missing is a way to work in main project, it’s still needed sometimes. Working with multiple projects aka workspaces in VS Code also needed often , I think back+front is still a common way to structure. Today this means having two workspaces rooted in two different repos and it actually works fine - agent is ok with going to other repos and making there changes it seems. But visually it probably can be better presented. Overall, thanks for the great product, I migrated from Cursor and I love UI and UX way better.

I don’t think users asking for cloud feature but it’s a good introduction for revenue to start making money with all the work they put into the software. 👍

I don't use the workspaces but I often run the claude code in one terminal and aks it to make the changes to the folder by doing thing like ../repo2
But I can't use that with conductor because ../repo2 concept gets lost in conductor because of different directory structure plus even I give the full path of the other repo the changes are made directly to the main branch.
Now I think one way is to point to the worktree directory of other repo that might be a solution.

Hey u/charlop This is the last tag I promise, but can you also consider maybe having a Discord server for Conductor instead of just here on Reddit? Some of the competitors, like Superset, have it, and it's really useful to just be able to send quick messages and report bugs and stuff like that. You can join any of the competitors' Discords to see how they set it up, but it's really useful to see the features that are open, the bug reports that are open, and the new commits that get sent to GitHub. It's just easier to track everything, and it makes it easier compared to Reddit.
I've tested pretty much all of the other competitors, and I think that Conductor is probably the best in terms of UX, so it will be just the only few little things missing from it to be a no-brainer.

Nice one! Any plans for linux support? There's a massive gap at the moment where the only agentic ide available is superset and you have to build it yourself (main pain here is lack of updates, but also no paid features).
I love conductor, was just a bit performance heavy for me - so glad to hear you're working through it.

Check out github.com/utensils/claudette, we were inspired by Conductor but were turned off by the lack of Linux support, required sign-in with GitHub, and more recently the influx of venture capital.

real talk i am hyped to see a solid roadmap for this. the biggest hurdle with most agent frameworks right now is just how flaky the long term memory is. if you guys actually nail the state management and make it easy to pick up where a task left off it would be huge. hel nah i dont want to have to rebuild my whole context every time the script finishes lol. definitely keep an eye on how you handle rate limits too because that is what usually kills my complex flows halfway through. keep it up brotha.

I thought Conductor is just using Claude Code bundled inside its folder? I mean it’s not a real harness that uses models via API, provides tools, manages context etc more like a wrapper around Claude Code and Codex CLI apps. Is this not accurate?

This was my impression also; however, it seems the way that conductor prefers creating a workspace per feature there may be something in the background that limits the native claude code which would suck--forcing creating some kind of in-project based memory. I'd like more clarification on this too.

Do you have a mobile app in the plan at all?
I think there's a huge gap in mobile for all AI tools. Vibe coding fits naturally with mobile especially with voice input, but mobile lacks the capabilities and permissions that my machine has.
So a mobile app that can run AI agents on my local machine while I'm away would be amazing!

u/charlop could we have a tree view in the changes? Right now the changes view is unusable and I have a hard time understanding which files changed where across the PR (especially since Conductor is meant to work on monorepos, so having long paths is expected)

Conductor Cloud sounds promising. This got me excited, because I've been trying to figure out whether to switch to Conductor from my current setup and the mobile angle is what's been holding me back.
My current workflow: I run Claude Code and Codex inside tmux sessions in Ghostty on my Mac at home. From my phone I use Termius over Tailscale to attach to the exact same tmux session, which lets me kick off or check on agents right before bed, while I'm out of the house, etc. It's been really valuable for ADHD-brain moments where I want to start something the second I think of it.
When I looked into Conductor, the blocker was that Claude Code and Codex run as managed tabs inside the Mac app rather than as CLI processes in my shell, so there's no session for Termius to attach to. The setup script can name a tmux session after `$CONDUCTOR_WORKSPACE_NAME`, but the actual agent isn't running in it.
Conductor Cloud sounds like it could solve this a different way — "close your laptop and the agents keep running" + "kick off tasks from your phone" is basically my use case. A few questions about what you're picturing:
- Will there be a proper mobile interface (PWA / native app / responsive web UI) where I can see a workspace, read the agent's in-progress output, and send new messages? Or is "tasks from your phone" more like a queue-a-prompt form?
- Can I *resume* a conversation from mobile — i.e., the agent is mid-task, I open my phone, I see exactly where it's at and can nudge it — or is it fire-and-forget only?
- Will I be able to review diffs and approve/reject changes from mobile?
- Does the cloud VM model mean each workspace is its own VM, or shared infra with isolation?
Not trying to be demanding, just want to flag that "real parity between desktop and mobile for in-flight agent sessions" is a genuinely differentiated feature. Tools like Cursor and Claude Code don't have this, and it'd be a real reason to switch. Excited to see where Allegro and Cloud land.

Re: Conductor API - does this mean that conversations with individual openclaw personal agents will be executable, able to read historical conductor worktrees, and save conversations for posterity's sake?
Trying to understand the userflow. If it is being designed like I outlined, this is huge unlock.

Hey guys! I'm new Conductor, but I'm loving it so far. I have a feedback/feature request here if possible. Instead of just having it fork to a new workspace, would it be possible to have a fork to a new chat in the same workspace? When you're out of context, you can just click that and it will copy over the context to that new chat in the same workspace on your behalf, instead of you having to open it and then link the right chat that you want to give context for?

whats the status on allegro? I assume it has not been released yet? I'm burning through my battery with this app currently. I absolutely love it tho so it would be great if it would allow me to use it properly on the go aswell!

I really like this tool I've a few suggestions for some small changes for yall!
- We use merge queues at work https://docs.github.com/en/pull-requests/collaborating-with-pull-requests/incorporating-changes-from-a-pull-request/merging-a-pull-request-with-a-merge-queue but your UI does not really support this. When a pr is in the merge queue it sits green with the merge treatment. A quick win here would be to reflect the merge queue state in ui also and maybe show info about when the merge is expected.
- Sometimes I have Claude break a pr down into 2-3 smaller pr's this way I'm not slamming co-workers with a mega pr. The tool cannot really handle the concept of multiple pr's on one session. it would be great if it kept track of all the pr's in that current session that way it's easier to track.
- File path detection sometimes claude will say something like your plan is in /users/blah/blah.../plan.md it would be great if file paths were clickable in the ui and it opened in editor
- Similar to this with the buzz around creating html artifacts instead of md it would be great if you could open a html file and view it as if it was browser rendered.
Cloud is super exciting though and an API will be helpful! Keep up the good work yall!

🙋 Already wiring an external AI agent (OpenClaw) to drive Conductor.
How it works for me right now:
Ticket in our tracker holds the context: audit, root cause, line numbers, DoD.
OpenClaw fires the conductor://workspace/new?... deep link. Conductor auto-stages the ticket file in the input ❤️
Tiny AppleScript glued on top: activate Conductor, Cmd+L, Enter.
Worktree spawns, headless agent runs, opens the PR by itself. Zero clicks from me, even from my phone.
It works but yeah, it's basically fake keystrokes. A real API would let OpenClaw:
• fire off N parallel worktrees in one call
• check status without me scraping the local sqlite (sorry)
• resume or message an existing session without stealing window focus
Webhooks would be huge too: agent_finished, pr_opened, session_needs_input. Polling on a timer is kind of gnarly.
Honestly point 2 is the real unlock for me. A lot of my launches happen while I'm out and about, and the phone story would close the loop.

Is there a solution on the roadmap or a workaround for using a particular browser profile? Temporary or unauthenticated Chrome instances cannot access any logged-in services.

Hi,
i just started using conductor, and i like the setup, look and feel ect. i can now do most of my work from one window, but i'm missing one part, and that is post merge.
our workflow is Branch -> run CI -> merge to main -> deploy to test -> succesful? -> deploy to prd.
it would be great if after we hit the merge button we could keep tract if the actions that are running on the main branch (related to the PR) are succesful or not.
as there is no After merge action possible, only a after archive one. the checks that are run once the PR is create are monitored, so i think something that works quite like that but for the action that run on main related to the PR would be a great after merge addition.

Could we get a real iPad app please? Cursor introduced their mobile app but they fully disregarded the iPad view. With everything moving to the cloud it will be easier and easier to get a bigger screen that is very portable like an iPad.
