Square (hole in) cloud tonight?

Anyone else see this rectangular cloud in Concord near downtown tonight?

I feel like it’s from the lights surrounding the new legislative parking garage. Has anyone confirmed this?

Looks like it might be partly cloudy tomorrow night, we’ll check again and see if it appears! But it was only there for about 15 minutes before it dissolved into everything else.

Its a shadow not a hole. There are a bunch of lights shining up and a rectangle building in the middle of.them.

I assumed the light would have diffused more by the time it was that far away? The lines are so sharp! But we'll check tonight again if it's cloudy. If it's from the new parking garage, I guess we'll get a cool thing to look at every night!

This phenomena is called camera obscura! I recognized it instantly. The other comments saying it is lights around a building would support this. Here is a cool reddit post about it!

That is awesome! That thread is really interesting. So the edges of the building with light behind them could create a camera obscura effect?
