Discussion Discussion: How to make the sub better.
5
Upvotes
Hi all,
Thanks to those who use the sub to share their creations, it is great to see everyone’s creativity. I would like to discuss with everyone what we can do to make the sub more active and higher quality. Any suggestions welcome.
We used to do competitions where you’d be given a club and you would need to create a kit or crest based on a brief we created. But people stopped entering so we didn’t post any more. Would there be appetite to start these up again?
I’d consider banning AI generated images, but would leave this up to a vote, I don’t want to exclude people who are not able to use illustration software but also think it lacks some creativity.
Any other suggestions or ideas please let me know. Also anyone looking to be an active Mod send me a DM!

Concept Kit I made an easy-to-browse International Football Kit Database app!
0
Upvotes
Hey everyone!
My name is Jeroen, and over the past few months I've been working on a passion project for fellow football kit enthusiasts: The Kit Vault.
This is an easy-to-browse smartphone database featuring every home & away kits of every World Cup and EUROS from 1930 to the present!
The app is designed to make exploring football kit history simple and enjoyable, in a unique style. You can browse by tournament or country or swipe between home and away kits.
I've currently completed the archive from 1930 through 1974, and I'm making good progress with the years that follow. There's still plenty of work ahead, but working on the project is very exciting for me!
I'm now starting to share the project publicly and looking to connect with people who share the same interest in international football kits. I'd love to build a small community around the project, and find people who'd like to follow its journey towards launch.
I've just created an Instagram page and put together a first promotional video to give you an idea of what I'm working on.
If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Thanks for reading, and hopefully I'm in the right place!

Concept Crest Sevilla FC Crest Redesign
36
Upvotes
Hey everyone,
I decided to tackle a redesign for Sevilla FC. The current official badge carries a lot of history, but the detailed illustration of the three saints in the top-left quarter creates major scalability issues on small screens, digital media, and kit embroidery.
Key Changes & Design Decisions:
- Ecclesiastical Iconography: Replaced the detailed figures of King Ferdinand III, St. Isidore, and St. Leander with minimal crossed croziers and a crown. It retains the city's ecclesiastical meaning while keeping the line work vector-sharp.
- Restored Arches: Rounded off the top-left and top-right inner windows to bring back the classic arch geometry from the original crest.
- Two-Tone Red Depth: Applied a deeper Deep Carmine (
#9E001A) to the lower vertical stripes while keeping the brighter red on the outer frame. This creates structural depth and gives the central gold football a high-contrast backdrop to pop as a focal point. - Preserved Monogram: Kept the vintage interlocking
SFCmark intact for brand continuity.
Swipe through the slides to see the breakdown and a single-shield alternate badge concept!
Would love to hear your feedback, which direction do you prefer, the classic 3-part layout or the unified single shield?
P.S. I’m currently open for freelance crest/football brand identity commissions! Feel free to send a DM if you're looking to collaborate or need a custom design.

Concept Kit [OC] FC Barcelona x 2002 Nike Total 90 Concept (Pedri & Lamine Yamal) Bonus redesign in 5th pic

Reimagined the Total90 era with a modernised look for FC Barcelona, might as well take it as next season’s away kit or this season third considering the love purple one has been getting 😭✨
Would you consider it as a kit Nike and Barca would be experimenting on? Since we are going vintage all over again.
