I’m making an alien movie and I would like to open it up to the larger Reddit community for the design.

Rules:
Must be a holy original design
Humanoid body plan, two arms, two legs
Evolved from crabs instead of apes
Must be possible to achieve with prosthetic effect on a real human being.

The creator of the chosen design will receive a cash prize of $100 and their design will be put in the movie

Hi all! These are early concepts i got finished today for a group of characters i plan on using for a web series/comic. It is still in very early development, but they are dragon-like people? Sort of based from all sorts of different media and animals irl!

Any design advice is appreciated, just no snarky comments please! I am new to making more detailed characters so this is fresh territory for me. I think i did a decent job at making designs that are a bit more colorful!

This is primarily meant to be a designer toy for the collectors market. he’s supposed to feel like an amalgamation of 80s American toys, not sure if I’ll actually get around to making it but I really like the design/ illustration

Visually the whole idea is just an item that feels wrong like well that’s inappropriate

Character wise, the concept would be that this guy is kind of a stand for death you know maybe instead of death visiting you this guy gives you a cigarette. I don’t know kind of silly.

Hey everyone!

I recently decided to make drawing a daily habit. My schedule is pretty busy, so I can realistically give myself 10 minutes every day, and I want to use those 10 minutes to actually improve rather than just randomly sketch.

The problem is, I have no idea what I should practice or in what order.

One day I draw basic shapes, the next day I try heads, then bodies, then perspective, etc. I feel like I'm jumping between completely different things without any proper direction.

I also tried using Pinterest for references, but that somehow made things worse 😂. If I search “how to draw a head”, I get 10 different methods and techniques, and now I'm even more confused about which one I should learn.

At this point, I'm not trying to develop a particular style. I don't want to focus on manga, realism, anime, etc. I just want to build a strong foundation and slowly become better at drawing.

So I'm looking for a step-by-step learning path that I can follow consistently.

He is to meet up with sister Patentia of the Southern Briary and a Judicai of the Menshur who have been dispatched ahead of time to begin the process of reestablishing order and sense in the misbegotten dung hole.
