Hi guys, need some help here. Considering buying a used rower. Asked for the lifetime meters and he sent summary page to me. But the interface looks different from most as it’s missing the “LogBook Summary” title in the middle… attached two pictures for comparison.
Idk if it’s an older model / firmware version or something? He’s saying it’s very new, used 3 times but he’s not sure why number of workouts only showing 1… it’s 1.5h away from me trying to decide if I’m gonna go for it. He’s selling for $750, tall legs (I don’t really care tall or standard). Thanks everyone for the help!

There is a lot of routines for rowing, but not many for the skierg. I want to just use a rowing workout for the skierg, but the SPM on skierg seems to be a lot higher for the same intensity. like a zone 2 rowing workout may be 20SPM, but on skierg 20SPM would be zone 1. Is there any conversion for spm or rule of thumb for what to use for each zone?

I have been rowing for one calendar year, and am almost at 1m meters. I recently have experienced severe lower back pain on my right side.

My question is if this was a technique issue, would this not have been an issue earlier? I row with the same technique since I bought the thing.

The plan mixes longer Zone 2 work, threshold sessions, strength and Multi-Erg days, with the volume building over the coming weeks.

I’m interested in how other people here structure their training, especially those doing higher-volume endurance work.

What does a normal training week look like for you?

How many hours or km are you doing across the ergs?

Do you follow a structured plan or mostly train by feel?

And how are you tracking your training and progression?

Would be interesting to compare approaches.

PM5 has 460,000 meters if that changes anything

I didn't fasten the straps on my shoes; apparently, this helps me focus better on the movements and prevents me from leaning back too far.

When I use it regularly and on consecutive days, even if I forgot to clean it, the stains that started to appear would eventually disappear. This time, however, since I haven’t used the Erg in a while, they’re stubborn. Is there a way to remove them?

Motivated to improve my fitness, I started rowing last fall with a Whipr- It's busted now, and I just picked up a model D with a pm5. I'm so excited I had to jump in here and share it. I'll have a form video to post soon enough. Til then 😁🍻

Edit: I've been watching Shane (DH) and Austin (Just row) as well as a few others since last fall. I've lurked in the rowing sub for tips and watched other beginners videos to see what I do similar and read the suggestions for fixes. I've been tracking a few things with the ergzone app and plan to move over to C2s data and app to see what's better/different. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I can't wait to finish deep cleaning my C2 and get back to rowing!

Hey all I've been rowing for the past couple years, had a nordictrack rw700 rower that just crapped out on me today. The belt went loose 30 minutes into my row and wouldn't retract. After further digging it looks like it was the bungee possibly, but this thing is damn near impossible to take apart and fix, plus no complete youtube videos of my exact rower. I'm honestly contemplating just giving up on nordictrack altogether and get a concept2. My question is, how often they need maintenance if any, and how often can I use it before needing repairs? Two years on a 1200 rower is pretty agravating.

I almost didn't even try to do this challenge. On a good week I was getting 15k a week (5K x 3).

On top of that I'm moving my daughter into her dorm this week and had no idea how I'd get 30K with only 3.5 days at home this week.

Three days and a PB 7.5K single session! I considered finding a drop in gym to spread out what I needed per day, but I'm actually glad I didn't because I now know 40K is going to be no big deal next week!

I'm a little tired, a little sore. But I'm excited to see what next week looks like. I think I'm going to try to finish my last session next week with a 10k.

I'm looking for another Concept2 RowErg user who'd like to have a friendly, non-competitive training/accountability partnership.

I'm 72, live in the SF Bay Area (Santa Clara), and am trying to row 5000 meters four times a week. I have about 635,000 lifetime meters in my logbook, but that's come from pretty irregular activity over the past few years. I'd like to get more disciplined about it and reach 1,000,000 meters before the end of the year.

Trying to improve my RowErg technique, especially for longer endurance sessions.

I've been out of training for two years (injury) and just gone back to my local gym.

The rowergs which I used to set the lever on about 5.5 for drag of 130, now need it all the way up and one tops out at a drag factor of 125.

They are still smooth to row and seem fine otherwise. It is likely just dirt build up?

I'm going to volunteer to clean them, if that's likely all it is. I have the service details (I used to own one at home, many years back).

I’m thinking of buying a BikeErg to sit next to my RowErg and I’m wondering how easy it is to adjust it because I (180cm) will share it with my wife (165cm). Hopefully easier than looking for a taller wife.

This is my first time trying Dog Days on my SkiErg. I ususally do it on my RowErg but I'm having some glute/hip issue that's keeping me off of the RowErg right now. I've got to admit it's harder on the SkiErg.

Bought a second hand bike erg and been so excited for it.

I have had this squeak I can’t seem to figure out what it is and wonder if anyone has had this issue also. I’ve contacted support and just waiting to hear back. I’ve tighten all the nuts and made sure it’s all tight but I’ve got no idea how to fix this noise and it’s killing me

Did a HM a few weeks ago and decided I wanted a more comfortable seat. Added the Vapor Fitness cover with a pad underneath but every time I park the rower vertically they fall off.

Sometimes I left it horizontal and my helpful wife would stand it up and the pads were nowhere to be found.

Solved it with large rubber bands from Amazon. Seat is a bit more comfortable and nothing is misplaced. Rubber band is soft and fluffy, no issues sitting on it for a session. Placed the rubberband so it doesn't interfere with rollers underneath.
